The girl that is at the bus stop when I drop off the boys at day care tends to stand there without a hood, hat or gloves. On Friday when it was snowing, she finally had a hat and gloves. And today, when it's -1 with a chindchill down to -30, she is back out there without a hat or gloves.

What is up with the kids out here, man? It's COLD.

I let the kids play outside with the neighbors while I was cooking dinner. Maddy ran back in after about ten minutes complaining that I should occupy Nick. "If I watch him, I can't play and have fun!"

My reply?

"Welcome to motherhood!"

She didn't appreciate my sense of humor. ;)
